Ross Pennie's first novel was a great medical thriller. Full of suspense, twist upon twist and colourful characters. It also gives a glimpse of the Ministry of Health's office and the types of issues they deal with. How the Media plays into every health scare that goes on (remember SARS, West Nile Virus, etc), and the politics within.
I would definitely recommend this book (gets a 4/5) . If you enjoy Robin Cook (I haven't read any recently ... I will have look up his newest!), then I think you would enjoy this one.
I am have actually already downloaded the next book, entitled "Tampered" ... but I am going to read a couple of books in between so I have something to look forward to!
Next on the list is "Tales of the Otherworld" by Kelley Armstrong. This is a series of short stories she has written to develop some of her side characters within her "Otherworld" series. I am not usually a fan of short stories, but I enjoy her other books, and her free online fiction, so I thought I would give it a go. (and I am waiting for her next novel, which won't be out until April)
I wish everyone a good week ahead and stay tuned for the next episode!
