I just finished the Immortal Series with the final book 'Everlasting' on a flight to Calgary.
I had starting reading this awhile ago and this was the perfect place to finally finish it.
I thought rather than give a review of the final book (in case you have not read the series)
I would review the whole series.
The series revolves around Ever, a teenage girl, who has just surviveda horrible car accident
that killed the rest of her family. She goes to live with her aunt in California and start a
new life. Her life changes drastically and she discovers is different than before. There is
also a handsome young man, Damen, who she is drawn to. He is not your 'boy next door'
and while she is fascinated with him, she is also cautious. Who is he and why is he intent
on speaking to her? He acts as if he has known her before, and yet she is sure she has
never met him.
This series tackles past lives, the myths of immortality and also teenage angst, the challenges
and the triumphs. At times I struggled to get through this series, but at the same time I
wanted to find out how it finally ended.
The first book is my favourite, maybe because it is the beginning and you do not know what
is going on, and what will happen. I like how the author weaves the characters together
and you learn why they do the things you do.
At times, I was frustrated with Ever and what she was doing, yet now looking back at
the series, I think the author was successful in her venture, as I kept coming back for more
to see how it would conclude.
Book 1 - Evermore
Book 2 - Blue Moon
Book 3 - Shadowland
Book 4 - Dark Flame
Book 5 - Night Star
Book 6- Everlasting
